Fintech and Insurtech: a customer-centered symbiosis focused on financial inclusion

Klimber took part in the 5th anniversary of the Insurtech Association of Mexico, sharing insights and learnings on international partnerships.

The event featured a dedicated space for Insurtech, organized by Latam Insurtech and the Miami Insurtech Advocates Hub. The latter had a remarkable participation, demonstrating the strong synergy between the Fintech and Insurtech ecosystems. While Fintech provides immediate usability and financial inclusion solutions, insurance complements that vision with a long-term perspective, offering users stability and protection. Events like this highlight the importance of collaboration between both industries and the positive impact it generates on accessibility and sustainability within the financial sector.

It was a particularly meaningful week for Klimber, as our CEO, Julián Bersano, was recognized as “CEO of the Year,” and our CTO, Daniel Moussatche, as “CTO of the Year.” These honors reflect their dedication and vision in leading Klimber toward innovation and excellence.

Julián Bersano was invited to one of the special sessions to speak on “The Platform Effect: Resilient Ecosystems.” During his presentation, he emphasized the importance of partnerships and collaboration with partners, consultants, and providers to strengthen the insurance offering every day. He also underlined how technology has become a key catalyst for delivering better prices and broader reach, accelerating the transformation of the industry and enabling millions of people to access financial protection.

The Insurtech Association of Mexico (AIM) also had a strong presence. Its work is essential in connecting insurers, startups, investors, regulators, and other key stakeholders, fostering initiatives that make insurance increasingly accessible, efficient, and adapted to market needs. Moreover, AIM contributes to making this ecosystem more resilient by promoting the adoption of new technologies and business models that ensure the sustainability and expansion of the industry across Latin America.

We congratulate the other members of the Insurtech Association of Mexico who were also recognized alongside Klimber at the 2025 Insurtech LATAM Awards: Sergio Zuniga and Juan Nicolás Rojas from Blitz, as well as Omar Said López Tronco, CFA, and Marisol Sánchez Navarrete from Clupp. These awards highlight the innovative work and positive impact of these companies within the regional financial industry.

Another milestone we are proud to announce is that, in our mission to transform the insurance industry in Latin America, we reached 11 million customers and issued more than 154 million policies. This achievement consolidates our position as the leading insurtech in the region.

One of the fundamental pillars of our success is the strategic alliance with MetLife through Xcelerator. This collaboration has allowed us to expand our reach and offer more accessible and personalized insurance solutions to millions across the region. Together, we are redefining how people access financial protection by providing products tailored to their specific needs.

We believe in bringing insurance to everyone, no matter where they are. One of the things we are most proud of is seeing our coverage map grow continuously, ensuring that we reach every corner of Latin America with high-quality, affordable, and competitive products. This expansion drives us to continue innovating and strengthening our commitment to financial inclusion in the region.

At Klimber, we remain committed to our mission of closing the protection gap in Latin America. Our focus on technology, innovation, and strategic alliances continues to drive our growth and our goal of delivering insurance solutions that truly make a difference in people’s lives.
