We are an example of dedication and commitment in human resources

Klimber shared its experience at the GPTW Argentina event, highlighting how we build a culture of flexibility, active listening, and closeness.

We took part in a GPTW Argentina event focused on Klimber’s experience and how we became one of the “Best Workplaces in Argentina,” ranking sixth in 2024.

One of the first speakers was Lucía Julio Farjat, Chief of Staff at Klimber, who explained that the company was founded by Julián Bersano, current CEO, with the goal of transforming the insurance industry through technology. She detailed that Klimber focuses on process digitalization and works in partnership with insurers and reinsurers to automate the entire policy lifecycle. What differentiates Klimber is its commitment to bringing insurance to remote areas, particularly in Latin America — a region that faces ongoing social and economic challenges.

Next, Macarena Acevedo, Head of Human Resources, shared how the company adapts its benefits to the needs of its team members, emphasizing the importance of flexibility and active listening. Macarena mentioned a specific example regarding the fitness reimbursement benefit, which initially had low participation. After analyzing the situation, the company adjusted the policy to make it more accessible, allowing employees to choose any physical activity and receive reimbursement. This change generated greater satisfaction among employees and demonstrated that personalization and flexibility are key to maintaining engagement.

The discussion also touched on the importance of team-building events and activities, such as after-office gatherings and social meetings at the office. Lucía highlighted that although Klimber is a mid-sized company (with around 120 employees), it works with major partners like MetLife, which requires constant evolution and growth.

Another key point of the talk was Klimber’s ability to maintain a low employee turnover — only 5% voluntary turnover, well below the technology industry average. This is largely attributed to the company’s organizational culture, which fosters individuality and active listening. Lucía emphasized that the key to creating a great workplace environment is listening to employees and ensuring they feel valued.

Throughout the event, ideas were exchanged on how to manage personalized benefits in a growing company, and the importance of leaders as role models for their teams was underlined. At Klimber, leaders strive to know their team members personally and work side by side with them, strengthening a culture of closeness and horizontality.

In closing, it was mentioned that Klimber’s organizational culture is not a simple list of policies but something lived every day through listening and continuous support. Both Lucía and Macarena invited attendees to reach out to share ideas and experiences on people management and organizational culture.

This event was an opportunity for Klimber to share its story and innovative approach to corporate culture in the tech industry, showing how a relatively young company can stand out in a competitive environment by putting people at the center of its strategy.
